Despite each of them being paragons, the meeting lasted for quite some time. During it, the humans of Sector 10 had begun recovering.
Due to the abruptness of Jezeneth's retreat, the entire darkened blood construct army had dissolved, turning into darkened blood that flooded the streets of Sector 10.
Aric Stormrider had managed to hold back the blood army on his own, drastically reducing the number of casualties. As soon as he confirmed that the coast was clear, he returned to the academy without wasting any time.
This left the people of Sector 10 to recover. Cries of pain and loss filled the streets.
After the meeting, the paragons had each concluded various matters.
As they stepped out of the citadel at the border, the others waited while Magnus went to the Ravenstein fortress and brought earth elementalists to temporarily replace the wall that had crumbled during the battle.
Atticus would have been a better option, but none of the paragons asked him due to the earlier tense situation.
The paragons oversaw the creation of the wall, not leaving until it was fully rebuilt. Once it was completed, Oberon turned to the others.
"I propose we each take turns guarding this border for now. I will leave a rune here that will allow us to instantly teleport in case of any attack."
After engraving the rune, Oberon handed each of them artifacts designed to alert them and teleport them to this location if necessary.
With that, Luminous surprisingly volunteered to take the first watch, leaving Atticus and the other paragons to return to their respective sectors.
At the skies above the Ravenstein Estate.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine, Grandpa," Atticus responded to Magnus' concerned question with a warm smile.
But Magnus didn't look convinced. It was clear he wanted more answers about the incident at the border. Atticus had insisted on going alone, rejecting Magnus' offer to accompany him. And now, not only had he grown in power, but his appearance had changed.
Atticus could see Magnus' concern, but he truly was fine. The power he had gained felt natural, with next to no drawbacks. However, even he couldn't help but worry about how he would explain everything to Anastasia, especially his change in appearance.
He didn't have to wait long, as the conversation was taking place above the skies of the estate.
As two overwhelming auras blanketed the Ravenstein estate, it was as though every warrior and guard froze, turning their gazes toward the sky.
One was an aura they knew all too well.
The other was also familiar, but the sheer implications of it being real were frightening.
As Atticus and Magnus landed gently in front of the main mansion, the door burst open as Avalon and Anastasia came running out.
Their gazes were filled with shock as they stared at Atticus.
For a moment, they both forgot that Magnus was even standing there.
"A-Atticus… what is this…"
Anastasia froze in front of him, unable to believe her eyes.
But Avalon wasn't faring any better.
Atticus had left the estate at grandmaster+ rank strength just days ago, and now he was a paragon?
It felt like a dream.
But despite his change in appearance, they were certain of one thing, it was Atticus.
Atticus chuckled dryly, raising a hand to scratch his head.
"I had a fortunate encounter," he said. That was all he could think of.
"Why don't you share the blessings, kid? Let us all have fortunate encounters too," Nathan remarked, shaking his head in disbelief.
He approached the group, along with other Ravensteins who had felt the familiar aura.
Atticus suddenly found himself surrounded from all sides, with eyes filled with bafflement and disbelief boring into him.
'How do I handle this situation…?' Atticus thought to himself, confused.
'You're awfully quiet,' he mentally remarked to Ozeroth.
It was odd that the spirit hadn't said anything.
'Stop being a baby. It's only natural for people of our greatness to be worshipped.'
Atticus could feel Ozeroth's excitement over being the center of attention.
He sighed. And just as he was about to speak, a deep voice snapped the crowd out of their reverie.
"That's enough. It's been a long day. Allow him to rest."
Magnus didn't wait for a response, whisking Atticus away.
None could react as the two of them disappeared, turning into streaks of light.
Atticus appeared in front of his room.
"Thank you," he said, turning to give Magnus an appreciative look.
Magnus responded with a nod and a smile.
"Get some rest. When you're well-rested, come find me. I'll show you to your new training room."
Atticus' eyes lit up at Magnus' words.
Now that he had paragon-level strength, he needed a training space that could withstand his power.
He nodded in thanks, and as Magnus disappeared, Atticus entered his room and fell onto his bed.
He did not sleep.
Somehow, Atticus didn't feel tired.
His body brimmed with energy, as though he was surging with constant adrenaline.
And seeing as he had nothing better to do, Atticus decided to check his status.
