Ah! The Villains I Forced to Turn Evil Can Read My Mind

Chapter 133

Chapter 133

Ying Chen stood in the corner, his gaze lingering thoughtfully as he observed the interactions between the Wei Sheng Family, the Pei Family, and the Lin Family.

His eyes then shifted to Qiao Chuchu’s retreating figure. His emerald-green eyes swirled with unreadable emotions, locking her firmly in the center of his vision.

Qiao Chuchu came to a stop behind Lou Tingsi and greeted him politely, “Mr. Lou.”

Lou Tingsi turned to look at her, a hint of pleasant surprise in his expression. “Miss Qiao.”

Qiao Chuchu forced a smile and got straight to the point. “Have you been busy lately?”

[I want to see when you’ll die.]

Lou Tingsi’s mouth twitched, and his smile deepened. “I have a business deal with a client tomorrow. I’m flying to France early this morning.”

Qiao Chuchu was taken aback, her tone stretching awkwardly. “Oh~ tomorrow~”

[That’s it, then. There’s no time to find the traitor. One wrong move, and tomorrow could be Lou Tingsi’s death anniversary!]

Lou Yuejue’s face turned pale as he looked at his father with fear.

Lou Tingsi patted his son’s shoulder reassuringly. “Is there something you need, Miss Qiao?”

Qiao Chuchu bit her lip, hesitating as she lowered her head.

[Lou Tingsi is leaving early this morning. The prophecy didn’t specifically tell me who the traitor is, so I can’t be sure. Without evidence, I can’t just make accusations. But if I go with him, I’ll be able to foresee the real traitor and pull Lou Tingsi back from the brink of death when the time comes.]

[That way, Lou Yuejue won’t die, my seventh brother won’t die, and no one will die!]

She clenched her teeth and blurted out, “Can I go abroad with you?”

Lou Yuejue’s eyes lit up as he looked at his father with excitement.

Lou Tingsi was visibly surprised, and the smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes finally gained a touch of sincerity. “Why?”

Aren’t you afraid you might die in France and never come back?

Qiao Chuchu bit her lip again, her heart pounding with fear. “I just want to go and have some fun.”

[Stop asking why, big brother. The truth is, I want to save you. If you die, Lou Yuejue probably won’t survive either. He’s too young to lose his family.]

[Besides, I’ve already changed your future. If you die now, all my efforts would’ve been for nothing. I can’t let all that sunk cost go to waste!]

Lou Yuejue looked at Qiao Chuchu with joy, his eyes filled with little hearts!

Big sister is going to protect his dad!

Big sister is so kind!

Lou Tingsi’s lips curled into a mysterious smile.

He hadn’t planned on letting Qiao Chuchu come along.

Because he already had a plan.

But Qiao Chuchu looked so sincere, like a pitiful little child, as if she wouldn’t rest easy unless she went with him.

He agreed readily. “If your brother agrees, I’ll let you come.”

Qiao Chuchu slapped her thigh. “Deal!”

She lifted her skirt and ran over to Pei Yuan, excitedly saying something to him.

Three minutes later, she came running back, still holding her skirt. “My brother agreed!”

Lou Tingsi glanced at Pei Yuan.

Pei Yuan and the other brothers were frowning deeply, clearly uneasy as they silently mouthed, “Take care of her. Don’t let her go anywhere dangerous.”

Lou Tingsi’s expression darkened slightly, but he smiled at Qiao Chuchu. “Alright, if your brother agreed, then I’ll allow it.”

Qiao Chuchu beamed. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”

She hurried off, her skirt swishing as she left.

Lou Tingsi watched her retreating figure with interest, then followed her with his son in tow.

From the corner, Ying Chen stared intently at Qiao Chuchu until she disappeared from sight. Only then did he let out a cold laugh.

Didn’t they say there was a traitor by his side too?

Why didn’t she even glance at him?

After midnight, Qiao Chuchu boarded Lou Tingsi’s private jet on schedule.

Although Lou Yuejue had wanted to come along, Lou Tingsi had firmly refused. So, on the plane, it was just her, Lou Tingsi, and one of his friends who had hitched a ride.

Qiao Chuchu felt at ease.

[It’s not just me and Lou Tingsi alone. This isn’t awkward at all. Perfect!]

Lou Tingsi stood behind her, shaking his head helplessly.

Qiao Chuchu looked around the private jet. “Your private jet is pretty spacious.”

Lou Tingsi followed her gaze. “It’s probably not as big as yours, though. Your family has eight people, after all.”

Qiao Chuchu shook her head. “Not really. Our private jet is about the same size as yours. It’s just that the eight of us never travel on the same plane. We’re afraid of an accident wiping us all out. If we all died, there’d be no one left to inherit the family fortune.”

Lou Tingsi was taken aback but then chuckled. “I understand. My son and I don’t travel on the same plane either.”

Lou Tingsi’s friend tugged at his sleeve and whispered, “Is she your girlfriend?”

Lou Tingsi frowned. “Of course not.”

The friend grew curious. “Are you planning to pursue her, then?”

Lou Tingsi’s brow furrowed. “No, she’s just a friend.”

The friend was stunned, his eyes widening in disbelief. “You’re not afraid of women? You can actually have female friends?!”

“It’s a business connection,” Lou Tingsi said, clearly annoyed. “Don’t make a big deal out of it.”

The friend gave him a teasing once-over. “I don’t think so. You’re usually just polite to women, but it’s all surface-level.”

Lou Tingsi raised an eyebrow. “So, you’re saying I’m not just being polite with her?”

The friend scoffed. “Come on, you’re even carrying her bag! Or did you just snatch it from her when you saw her?”

Lou Tingsi: “?”

Lou ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Tingsi looked down and realized he was indeed holding Qiao Chuchu’s handbag.

……

He awkwardly placed the bag on the seat. “It’s just common courtesy.”

The friend smirked, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “Oh yeah, common courtesy, sure~ yoyoyoyo~!”

Lou Tingsi: “……”

He glanced at Qiao Chuchu’s retreating figure.

Qiao Chuchu had already chosen her seat. “I’ll sit here!”

He nodded with a smile and pointed to the front cabin. “There’s a fruit bar over there. Go pick some fruit to eat. I had it prepared especially for you.”

Qiao Chuchu’s eyes lit up at the suggestion. “Great!”

She happily dashed into the cabin, pulling the curtain shut behind her.

[It’s been seven years since I’ve been on a private jet! This is so exciting!]

Lou Tingsi was momentarily stunned, then smiled as he watched her joyful figure.

The friend, seeing this, opened his mouth to say something but decided against it, opting to tease instead. “You’re a grown man with a ten-year-old son. Don’t you have any… worldly desires?”

“I do, and I’m quite passionate,” Lou Tingsi replied casually, taking a sip of the champagne the flight attendant handed him. “I just usually suppress them.”

The friend: “?”

Qiao Chuchu, who was about to enter the cabin with her fruit: “?”

[Are they really talking about something so private? Maybe I shouldn’t go in.]

Lou Tingsi paused mid-sip, awkwardly glancing in Qiao Chuchu’s direction: “……”

Five minutes later, Qiao Chuchu hesitantly emerged, deliberately avoiding eye contact with Lou Tingsi as she took her seat without looking back.

Lou Tingsi: “……”

He suddenly felt a surge of irritation and shot his friend a glare. “There’s a bed in there. Aren’t you going to sleep?”

The friend blinked. “I’m not tired. Why would I sleep?”

Lou Tingsi’s gaze darkened, his tone threatening. “No, you’re tired.”

The friend: “……”

The friend sighed and stood up. “What if you need the bed later? Are you going to kick me out to make room for you two?”

Lou Tingsi’s face darkened, and he kicked at his friend. “Get out!”

The friend dodged nimbly. “Fine, fine, I’m leaving. Do whatever you want. It’s your plane, after all. You’re the boss.”

Now, the cabin was empty except for the two of them.

Lou Tingsi hesitated for a moment, then walked over to Qiao Chuchu. “Eating strawberries?”

Qiao Chuchu, who was holding half a strawberry, froze mid-chew, looking like a guilty hamster caught in the act. “Yes.”

[I hope he thinks I didn’t hear that conversation. Otherwise, this is so awkward.]
