Chapter 127 Kai's choice
Chapter 127 Kai's choice
Sun Wukong had been in this state for a while. He couldn't determine how long due to spatial and time disruptions.
"Finally, Quasi-Rank 3," Sun Wukong said as his size increased to hundreds of meters in height. His golden cudgel also grew to match his size.
"Congratulations on your breakthrough," the Titan Soul said as Sun Wukong examined his transformed body.
"So this is the difference... hehehe... a huge difference," Sun Wukong commented.
"Yes, it is," the Titan Soul said, recalling its own immense strength. But now at just 20% of its power, it could easily kill Rank 3 beings.
"Time to leave this place," Sun Wukong said as layers of space opened, revealing the first layer of space where his throne resided.
Walking out, the Void Race present were stunned.
"Who are you?" one of the Void Race members asked, tense with apprehension. They recognized this being was also a monkey but now stronger and far more imposing.
"Have you forgotten the king of this universe? Hehehe..." Sun Wukong said as the Void Race hurriedly bowed.
"Good. Now, let's improve this throne," Sun Wukong said with a smile.

"Ding… The update has been completed."
Darklord saw the notification with his helmet on.
"Here we go again," Darklord thought as he entered the game.
This time, he was directly transported to the village center.
Looking at the players already in the game, Darklord chuckled. "Humans are such complex creatures," he said with a smile.
He had already added his sister and Blazing Queen as friends.
Just as Darklord was about to head to the city, a prompt appeared.
"Exclusive mission for you: Save or destroy this village."
"Nah… let's go," Darklord shook his head. The reward for the mission was only a badge titled Brave and Bold and some exp.
Darklord left the village as a path opened before him. It seemed the game world had expanded significantly. With a slight smile, Darklord walked forward until he reached a small service area.
This was a horse stable where players could rent horses to travel to cities. Another stable housed the horses. The stables involved some mysterious mechanics that Darklord didn't want to dive into right now.
Entering the small building, he met a middle-aged man with bulging muscles.
"A very fast horse," Darklord said with a smile, pulling out a gold coin.
The man's eyes widened in shock.
"All right," the man said, accepting the gold coin with a smile before heading to the stable.
"Go outside. I'll bring it now," the man said. Darklord nodded and went outside.
In a few minutes, a black-maned horse with glowing, beautiful black fur was brought out.
"Can I buy this horse?" Darklord suddenly asked.
The man frowned slightly but quickly masked it as Darklord pulled out five more gold coins.
"Deal," the man said, laughing as he collected the coins.
"He's dumb," the stable keeper thought as he walked away.
"Ding… You gained a horse with a mysterious origin."
"Ha… finally," Darklord said with a chuckle.
At every stable, the first horse purchased always had a mysterious origin. At the very least, it would start with an S-rank bloodline.
"Ding… Host, do you wish to bind a pet?"
"No," Darklord said. He needed to reach Level 21 before acquiring a pet but could keep the horse for now.
"Ding… Accept as your partner?"
"Yes," Darklord confirmed as the horse neighed.

"Wow…" Darklord exclaimed, mouth agape. This was incredible.
The stats were impressive. "With this, I can level up faster," Darklord thought with a smile.
Looking around, Darklord found a horse saddle and carried it.
"Easy there," Darklord said as the horse neighed but allowed him to place the saddle.
Climbing on, Darklord grinned.
"Let's go, boy," he said. The horse neighed before starting.
Crack.
The ground cracked as the horse disappeared.
When Darklord was gone, the man came out with a sly smile.
"These outer-world people are interesting," the man said before returning to the small house.
*************
Darklord enjoyed the feeling of the air rushing past his face. For a brief moment, he forgot about the heavy burden on his chest and felt free.
Sigh.
The moment of peace passed quickly as strategies and battles for the future filled his mind.
"Hey," a message appeared.
Darklord smiled. "Hey, Blazing Queen."
"Darklord, where are you?"
"I'm off to a town."
"Which town?"
"I don't know yet. What about you?"
"I just logged in."
"All right. You wait there. I'll tell you the town I end up in," Darklord said as their chat ended.
"Us meeting this early is good," Darklord thought, looking at the horizon.
A giant wall loomed ahead, seemingly guarding against the outside world.
"Here we go again," Darklord said.
"This mount is fast," Darklord noted, glancing back. Hundreds of kilometers had passed in mere minutes.

"So, you are my opponent," Sword Demon said to the angel in front of him.
The female angel frowned in disgust. "You filthy creature will die today."
"Ha… ignorant, arrogant being," Sword Demon retorted, drawing his black sword.
"Hm," the angel snorted, revealing her divine sword.
An awe-inspiring aura emanated from her, creating a region filled with divine presence.
"Ha… let's go," Sword Demon said as a destructive, chaotic aura spread out from him, clashing with the divine presence.
Bang.
The two clashed, causing space to quake in response.
Bang… Boom… Bang.
The third layer of space was in chaos, split into two parts by Sword Demon and the female angel.
"This is interesting," Sword Demon said, appearing behind her and striking with his sword. She was prepared, disappearing before the attack landed.
"Speed element, huh?" Sword Demon grinned.

At Space...
Four beings slowly landed on an asteroid.
These were Liam, Tamaki, Eldomi, and Grex Lupi.
"So, where to now?"..., Tamaki asked.
"I don't know... Just wander in space," Eldomi said.
"We should have stayed," Tamaki said and sighed.
"Stayed? No," Grex argued.
"Yes. Why would we want to stay?"..., Liam said.
"Come on... Master will protect us," Tamaki said.
"Master? Heck, we are as strong as the Immortal Emperor of that world. No way. Besides, have you forgotten that you are a mythical creature?"..., Grex said with an annoyed expression.
"But—" Tamaki said as Liam cut her off.
"But what, Phoenix? Well, forgetting that... Should we go home?"..., Liam asked.
"Where's home, though?"..., Eldomi asked.
"Relax, guys... Home is where we want it to be," Grex said, making the group fall quiet for a while.
"So, let's find a place to at least settle down," Liam suggested as the four took off.
"Should it be near, or should we keep going?"..., Eldomi asked, puzzled.
"Far away," Grex said as they increased their speed.

At the Immortal Realm... Stay updated through empire
The Immortal Chen Clan.
"Father, who could have done this?"..., Muchen asked, shocked.
"I don't know. That's what we all want to know. No, it is dangerous... This death can be pinned on anyone, and you know to protect their image, the Su Clan will fight first before any explanation," Muchen's father analyzed calmly.
"Father, how about telling all the members to be watchful? Move in groups in three at least, and the younger ones should stay at home and not go out?"..., Muchen suggested.
"Good boy... That is better," Muchen's father said as he patted his son's shoulder.
"Sigh... The Immortal Realm is becoming more and more chaotic. It is almost like a hand is pushing us forward, pushing us all into destruction," Muchen pondered.
"Well, let's wait for a few days and see how it is," Muchen thought.
***********
Kai had been here for a few months, practicing his skills, refining them, and combining them into his attacks, making them more dangerous and deadly.
Finally, a few weeks later, he finished his training and walked out.
Returning to his room and feeling the massive drop in Immortal Realm Qi made Kai frown.
Opening the door, Kai came out and met Muchen already waiting.
"I was just about to knock," Muchen said with a smile.
"Ha, nice to meet you again, brother," Kai said with a smile.
"The pleasure is mine. Wow, you have improved massively," Muchen commented.
"Thank you, but you are the monster here," Kai said, shaking his head.
"Ha, monster? Brother, I have passed through it before, so I understand it a lot," Muchen said as Kai grinned.
"That's great. I will learn from you then?"..., Kai asked with a smile.
"Yes," Muchen replied.
"Yeah, I even want to ask you... What was that place inside?"..., Kai asked.
"Oh, that... That was a blessed land or a ruin," Muchen said with a smirk.
"Hmm, what's that?"..., Kai asked, still confused.
"They are like broken pieces of a particular civilization or a broken piece of a realm. In this case, they are that. Albeit, most of them are powerhouses' homes which they resided in before dying or ascending," Muchen said as Kai nodded.
"Ascending? Ascending where, though?"..., Kai asked in shock.
"Space, of course... Where else?"..., Muchen said with a smile.
"Hmm, space," Kai murmured with a sigh.
"Nah, don't think too much about it... You have reached the 3rd stage of the Immortal Realm. It is impressive," Muchen said.
"Are you sure, huh?"..., Kai asked.
"Absolutely, brother... Absolutely," Muchen said.
"Alright then... But I think I have to leave," Kai said as Muchen kept quiet.
"Brother, my way of cultivating is different from yours. I have to kill something to get stronger," Kai said with a smile.
"Ha, I knew you would say that, so I was prepared," Muchen said as his aura was released. The surroundings became cold as Muchen grinned widely.
