The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1357 Clarity of Desires

Chapter 1357 Clarity of Desires

An internal clash was inevitable if the Werewolves and Dark Elves stayed too close to Adhara and Gistella. Both of them were not able to endure, the Demon Moon's blessing, their grip on sanity slipping.

Both would lash out at anyone who ventured too near.

Only Flunra was safe, he could still be recognized amidst the frenzy.

Other than that, Adhara's presence was extremely distracting for the Werewolves.

Even the Alpha Primes weren't exempted—her energy which resembled the White Omicron's was a bane for Werewolves. Not to mention her Moonlight Reversal ability, it influenced all of them with the exceptions of Flunra and Gistella.

Continuing along with these two would be too much, it's best to separate for now.

"Do you object to this, Old Flunra?" Movak asked.

Flunra shook his head, it was the most logical thing to do, "Go lead the army. Also—take the Dark Elves with you, Adhara is not in the position to lead the army and neither was I. We will meet at Shadow's lair, go!"

Upon hearing this, Movak nodded and quickly led the armies to take a different path.

As they were moving, Valkis stopped to look at Flunra.

"Are you coming?" He asked.

"I'll stay with them," Flunra grunted. "Remember, don't attack Shadow until we're there"

Once the armies and the Alpha Primes depart, Flunra falls to his knees.

He wasn't hurt because of the wounds he suffered from the exploding minion, those wounds, were already healed—this is something else. Flunra breathed hard—his furs swaying with the power of the Demon Moon.

"Curse tonight," Flunra groaned. "the Alpha... Rex is losing control too hard, he's fighting"

Considering his age, he had already gone past the Demon Full Moon countless times.

But there were only a few nights that matched this one.

Even for his immense control over his beast side, stronger than even Rex's—it was becoming hard with each passing second. Flunra supported his torso with both hands, he clenched the earth with his claws.

Several times, he tried to shake the anger and hunger that were climbing his throat.

However, he was only able to barely hold on.

"It's not supposed to be... this hard!" Flunra thundered, he was utterly confused. He was not supposed to be struggling, like a young Werewolf like this. "My control is fine but Rex... he is blocking me from retaining my sanity, why? It feels like he wanted me to go berserk"

Soon, the sound of battles behind became lighter and eventually muted.

Flunra was still urging to control the blessing but then, a voice seeped into his ears.

A light whisper that was loud in his ears, almost as if someone had whispered to him directly.

"Good riddance, you look different..."

Upon hearing this familiar voice, Flunra's eyes widened.

He slowly looked up and was greeted by the sight of a figure, a more feral Werewolf.

Despite the stark difference between them, this figure was undoubtedly Flunra or rather, the Werewolf he once was, Arnulf. It has been thousands of years since he heard this voice—the voice of his Inner Fang.

It was evil and haunting, akin to the breaths of carnage itself.

"H- How...?" Flunra uttered in shock.

But his reaction made 'Arnulf' grin, "Do you think I won't come back after you killed me?"

"No matter what—I will always come back. I'm you and you are me," He continued, squatting in front of Flunra with a ridiculing face. "Well, you could kill me again—the same way you did last time, however... I know now that you don't want me, you're afraid of me so it won't be as easy as last time"

"I don't need you, get out of me!" Flunra barked angrily.

He was responding fiercely but Arnulf could hear the desperation in his voice.

"Don't need me...?" Arnulf sneered, taking those words as a joke. "I saved you at your lowest, the only reason you're here right now, alive—and breathing was because of me. So don't say you don't need me, you know that's a lie"

Upon hearing this, Flunra looked down, his expression was that of devastation.

Seeing his Inner Fang back seemed to be influencing him a lot.

So much that his body was shaking, a sight that nobody else saw even in the past.

Glancing over the Demon Full Moon above, Arnulf smirked, "It's my time now..."

...

On the other side, Adhara was also experiencing the same thing.

Compared to her second ego, if there even was one, her eyes were seeing things entirely.

Extreme rage was infusing every inch of her body, she wanted nothing more, than to inflict an otherworldly amount of violence—and also satiate the hunger inside of her. Despite her condition, devouring flesh didn't fly past her mind.

She wasn't accustomed to the method of satiating her extreme hunger.

Because of that, she became even more violent than normal.

Roar!!

Killing hundreds already, mangling their bodies, Adhara's wrathful eyes scanned around and found that there were a lot more zombies still. Or at least, in the real world—these creatures coming at her were Shadow's slaves.

In her eyes, however, they were not quite zombies.

As the Demon Moon above shone its blessing, Adhara's eyes also glowed with its light.

Enshroud by the power of the Demon Moon, pushed by Rex's desire for his pack members to surrender to anger, the zombies in Adhara's eyes swayed with a blue light. All of them turned into figures that she recognized and wanted to kill the most.

"Calidora!!" Adhara roared, baring her canine teeth at the incoming slaves.

She saw many Calidoras instead of the slaves.

A sight that made her rage climb as the night became older.

Each one of these Calidoras was smirking at her, mocking her, and underestimating her.

Her emotions were amplified and driven by the climbing anger, she rushed ahead, baring her claws and began massacring anyone that she could reach. Blood, limbs—and bones spewed across her vision as she continued.

All Adhara wanted was to be the number one in Rex's heart.

She was the first one to accept Rex and deserved to have the number one spot.

But despite her strong desires, she suppressed her jealousy so much that she became a new person, she compromised and allowed Evelyn—and Gistella into the harem, sharing Rex even though deep down, she didn't want to.

Nevertheless, that patience was tested again with Calidora forcing her way in.

Despite Calidora's bad blood with Evelyn, Adhara's desire to kill her was also not nothing.

It was shown clearly by the Demon Moon's light, making her berserk beyond measure.

"No matter how many of you are there, I will kill them all!!" Adhara shouted once again as she lifted a slave above her head—and ripped its body into two. She was salivating, and her eyes showed nothing other than brutality.

Similarly, Gistella was also influenced by the Demon Moon.

Her gentle and meek demeanor was thrown out of the window, replaced by feral wrath.

Rex would've been surprised to see her, the most, her body was already covered by armor of steel and her elongated tail was moving left and right, striking and impaling anything that she saw without exceptions.

As opposed to a bunch of Calidoras, she was confronted by another person.

Every single slave that was approaching was morphed into the Fifthborn.

Gistella has been haunted ever since that night when she reclined to do, what the Fifthborn wanted her to do or rather say to Rex, she was haunted by that mistake, the face Rex made that night played on repeat like a broken disc inside her head.

It was the reason she wanted to help Rex achieve what he wanted to achieve.

Becoming a secret bearer and starting to become attentive was one of her ways to do that.

And true enough, she was right, she was able to help Rex find the chalice through Naela.

Even then, that was not enough to amend this guilt inside of her.

Rex had already told her that it wasn't her fault—she could not possibly expect words could somehow hurt him. Gistella also tried talking with Adhara and Evelyn, hoping that sharing all of her burdens with others would help.

Just like Rex, those two also told her that it wasn't her fault.

She was undercover they say, she has no choice they say, they tried their best.

But it doesn't work.

It was true that they didn't blame her for it but she did, she blamed herself every single day.

Due to that, she begged and dreamed in her few sleeps.

If she could turn back time, she would not have done that, and even better, she would have clawed the Fifthborn's face. Now—those rampaging desires buried deep inside of her were set loose, she basked in the blood she spilled, thinking that it belonged to the Fifthborn.

"No more!" Gistella shouted, her tail, lifted an impaled corpse, causing the blood to drip down to her face and body, coating her steel armor with the hue of crimson. "I won't let you use me no more!"

Even though the night of the Demon Moon made them berserk, it was also clarity.

Exactly like Rex—their consciousness was still there but they felt like they were witnessing what they were doing from a third person's view. And despite the extreme anger, they now saw the things that made them angry and scared at the same time.

...

Meanwhile, the Dark Elves territory.

Boom! Stay tuned to empire

Rex was thrown hard, slamming and shattering through multiple ancient-old trees along the way. He was hurled hard, his entire body was in a grotesque condition, marred with wounds that could kill a Human ten times over.

It has been an hour or so since the Demon Moon appeared and the battle started.

But he was still outclassed by the two Knights.

Had it been a one-on-one, there was no doubt that he would win easily but this is not a duel.

Not to mention, he couldn't use his elements properly in this berserk state.

All he could do was use moonlight energy, kingly energy—and also red force.

A thought crossed his mind earlier, he wanted to use a Moon Order skill—but that thought, was gone along the way as his mind degraded, controlled only by anger. Slamming against the earth, he wasn't given any time to breathe.

Upon bouncing off of the ground, three earth spikes impaled his body.

Having a third eye on his back, the Clairvoyance skill, he was able to tilt his head to avoid the fourth spike that was aimed at his head. Golden blood squirted out—the new moon ability he gained was the cause of this color change.

Just then, the mutated hare streaked through him, intending to smash him from above.

However, a fraction of a second before impact, Rex smirked.

His eyes turned to look at the mutated hare, despite its quickness—being off the charts, he was able to perceive the mutated hare now and it caught the animal off guard. Right before the strike hits, Rex scoops his blood and throws it at Voltara.

Rex's blood got into the mutated hare's eyes before both of them collided.

Crash!!

Immediately, the ground exploded, sending debris flying like bullets.

All of the trees in a mile radius were swallowed by the ground, the impact was devastating.

Bouncing multiple times on the side was Rex—he was thrown away with holes in his body as he eventually came to a natural stop. He was battered, but his regeneration ability was quick to heal his wounds.

Despite being overwhelmed, Voltara and Brassik weren't able to deliver the killing blow.

Lifting up his gaze, he saw Voltara stumbling, shaking its head roughly.

It squealed in pain, the gold blood that got into its eyes inflicted it with a nasty spiritual pain.

"HAHAHA~!" Rex laughed maniacally, pushing himself up—with his wounds closing up at an unnatural speed. "Your speed is not a problem for me now! I can see you now!" He added in great pleasure.

Rex was having a hard time keeping up with Voltara's speed, it was so fast.

But now, he was able to see Voltara.

Just from that alone he could tell that he had gotten strong enough to reach its speed level.

All because of the Demon Moon above, increasing his strength.

<Notice: the user has extracted a blessing from the Demon Moon!>

<Demonic Claws moon ability can be used!>

Despite the notifications, Rex ignored it, engrossed in the moment.

"You banded together to kill me and yet here I am!" Rex stood on his feet, and spread both of his arms to the side, taking an imposing and powerful stance. "You hear me animal?! I am still alive! Come and kill me quickly before you're dead!"
