GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2014 Diligent Work.

Chapter 2014  Diligent Work.

All of these unexpected things that have happened are also linked to the Apocalypse weapon. It made him think of something else that might be responsible for the unexpected changes. He thought suspiciously, "Could it be that Monarch High Heaven gave me a faulty prototype, or is he scheming against me in another way?"

It is without a doubt that he is powerful. He is so powerful that he thought nothing of Legion as a Supreme Origin god and a possible world god. And yet, he is nervous now. He is constantly watching his surroundings, looking for signs of trouble, because anything that involves Monarch High Heaven is a serious matter, if only for the fact that the realm lord of high is related to the god of power. So he put all of his power into scanning his environment and the future. The one place he didn't look in was the Apocalypse weapon. Not that he could look into it. If he could look into it, he would see that only Legion-3 was in the Apocalypse weapon. This sight would definitely give him a fright.

To be specific, a black star had appeared within the Apocalypse weapon. It had replaced the ocean of red energy that used to be CARNAGE. This happened because Legion-3 had consumed CARNAGE from within using the abyss within him and used that to evolve into a world god. CARNAGE was only CARNAGE when the world ender was sealed. Legion-3 and drilled it into it and began fighting with it before CARNAGE was shot towards the serpentine world god. CARNAGE served as the shell while he was the yoke of the egg. At first, CARNAGE had the upper hand. But that changed after the other clones became world gods. and acquired a lot of power. Not only was CARNAGE devoured, but Legion-3 is also devouring all the power that the Apocalypse weapon is siphoning from the Cosmic source and supplying to him. This power is then used to produce chaos energy and chaos sparks for every clone to use. The god of power had to transform the resistance of the Cosmic Source into ancient titans, but the Apocalypse weapon transforms it into entropy. That transformation is not enough to deal with the resistance, though. Unless the Apocalypse weapon has infinite capacity for entropy, it would reach its limit and break. This is where a world ender comes in. It was CARNAGE's job to absorb the entropy and convert it into energy and power. Since a world ender can expand indefinitely and increase the limit of their entropy, the Apocalypse weapon can continue draining the Cosmic source of its resistance without limit. Now that CARNAGE is no more, it is up to Aeternus to do its job. He didn't shirk his duties at all. In fact, he did a good job of it.

Since he has an abyss within him, his rate of conversion is faster than what CARNAGE was ever capable of. This is why the rate of subduing the Cosmic source is too fast. What's more is that since Legion-3 is connected to the other clones and is receiving occasional boosts of power from them, he becomes stronger and can convert entropy faster. This is what is causing the random spike in the rate at which the Cosmic source is being converted. Legion-3 thought to himself with a smile, "Draco had spent about 10 Origin cycles subduing his Cosmic Source while the god of power had used a thousand years to do the same thing. The first sage is about to achieve the same thing in less than five hundred years. He should be happy."

He was jesting as he doesn't think the first sage will be happy. But what the first sage thinks doesn't matter anymore. What matters is when the Cosmic Source will become weakened enough to be refined. Being inside the Apocalypse weapon means he can't sense what's going on outside clearly. But he can still gauge the rate of progress by how much resistance the Cosmic Source is putting up. So when the resistance began to slow down and dwindle, he knew it was time to take action. After all, this was the best time to get paid for his diligent and excellent work. The Apocalypse weapon can seal a world ender. Even one with Chaos blood would be unable to escape from it. But he is not a normal world ender. He has a Supreme law that possesses the aspect of Infection. With this, he can infect the Apocalypse weapon with his existence.

He also possesses the aspects of Space, Time, Entropy, Energy, Matter, and Will. So he can infect almost anything and can even break out of this seal without infecting it. After all, it will take a prison that seals space, time, entropy, energy, Matter, and force together and at once to have any chance of sealing him. It won't be enough, though, because he can still infect it. He doubts that there is anything that can seal him. Even if there is, and it can prevent him from infecting it, with the aspect of Knowledge, he will still know what the prison is, its strengths, its weaknesses, and how to escape from it. If all of that doesn't work, then the Aspect of Probability will work. He just has too many things to count on. He also has very powerful clones that he can teleport to or can free him if teleportation won't work. This is why he was confident about the plan and was willing to let the first sage seal him.

However, he doesn't want to count on the other clones. It is because he is suspicious of them, and he doesn't think it is beyond them to try and seal him. He suspects that because it has crossed his mind to seal them. Sure, they are working together in harmony right now, but that's because they have the same goal, and they have an equal amount of strength, so they can't force others to do their bidding.
