Ghastorix and the Keeper of Secrets were willing to do anything for power, so they were willing to swallow their pride. But the Serpentine world god didn't want to do so. He wanted to quit the alliance completely and fight to the death.

The only reason why the Serpentine world god didn't quit was because his refusal won't change anything. With his allies turned against him, he would only die for nothing. The first sage would still get CARNAGE and helpers. Then the first sage would get a cosmic source. So he opted to stick around for something worthwhile. The first sage smiled as the four of them worked together to subdue CARNAGE. All the while it raged and roared, "You will never be able to defeat me. Not him and not you four. I'll never surrender. I'll fight to the death."

The Keeper of Secrets chuckled and said, "I guess it has gone mad from all the cycles of death and rebirth."

Only the first sage was in the mood to laugh. The other two felt like they had been forced to swallow a bitter pill made from feces.

CARNAGE's liquid form was absorbed by the apocalypse weapon and sealed completely. This shut it up and cut off its influence. The apocalypse weapon still wouldn't be able to prevent CARNAGE from completing its evolution, but it won't be a problem anymore. In fact, the Chaos blood it would gain would be of great use to the first sage plan. The four of them then went on to the next stage of the plan. It was the first sage leading the way while the three of them followed along. He said to them, "I have found a passage to the quantum zone. It will be a little difficult to open, but I'm sure that the four of us can manage it."

The Serpentine world god snorted. He didn't say anything, but he didn't need to say anything for his displeasure to be clear. In fact, he didn't need to snort. Just the displeasure radiating from him is all they need to know how much he would like to pummel the first sage right now. Ghastorix asked, "What about Legion? What about the Cosmic energy they possess?"

As a new world god and clearly the poorest among the four of them, the Cosmic energy in Legion's possession will go a long way in improving his strength and situation. So he wasn't willing to give up on it yet. The first sage asked, "Can you find them? If you can, then you can go and pick them up."

The Keeper of Secrets was surprised. She asked, "You can't find them either? How is that possible?"

The first sage shrugged, "I guess they created a good supreme law to hide themselves."

Then he chuckled and said, "I guess that's the only thing they will ever be good at. Seeing as they have been running around recently for their lives, it is only fitting that it will influence their Supreme law and future."

The keeper of secrets shook her head, feeling uneasy. She said, "That means their supreme law must have other aspects apart from matter, energy, will, and consciousness if they can hide from the two of us. I don't like this."

The serpentine world god was quick to assign blame. He pointed at the first sage and said, "This is all your fault, you vile, evil snake. You pressured them and didn't eliminate them when you could. Now they have grown stronger due to your pressure."

"If they get fragments of a realm heart, they can become world gods. Combined with their ability to learn our supreme law and erase it from their minds, they can find us anytime they want. You have created a powerful enemy for us."

The first sage nodded in agreement. "That may be true, but I don't feel any regrets. I did what I did because it was the only way to make sure that they would send the world ender to you three."

"I needed the help of three world gods who would be willing to do all they can to help me seal the world ender quickly before it completed its evolution. They gave me that, and now I am about to become a usurper. What's there to regret?"

Ghastorix sighed and said, "We have all been played by you."

The first sage smiled and said, "Won't it all turn out well? We will all become usurpers, so there is nothing to worry about. Legion won't be a threat to us then."

Then he shook his head and chuckled. "It is not even certain that Legion will be a threat to us now. I am willing to bet that they are weak and can be easily defeated."

"Besides, even if they become world gods, it will take some time before they can complete their breakthrough and threaten us. With my plan, we will be Usurpers by then. So we have nothing to worry about."

What he didn't say was that Legion couldn't be a threat to them because the Void Universe is about to end, and they won't be able to become world gods before the end of the Void Universe.

So Legion is effectively out of the picture. But he didn't tell them that, as it would reveal too much information. 

The Serpentine world god said, "A lot can still happen. It is not definite that you will become an usurper yet. If Monarch High Heaven and his ten billion units of the Authority of the Void Universe can struggle because of interference, so can you. It is also not certain that we will become usurpers yet. We still need to find a Cosmic source for each of us first."

The first sage smiled and said, "Don't worry. I am prepared for everything. As for you guys, I am sure that you will be able to find a Cosmic source with Secret Keeper's help."

Then he said, "Here we are. We have reached the access point to the Cosmic source."
