The keeper of secrets also felt that something was out of place, so she used her aspect of Secrets to acquire secret information that probably only the target knows about.

She was already half sure of her conjecture that the world ender was harmless, but she didn't stop running. She didn't want to bet her safety on some conjecture. It was only until she recognized the world ender that she stopped running.

She stopped running and called to the other two, "This is CARNAGE."

The others had never seen CARNAGE before, so they couldn't recognize it. They only felt that its ability to speak was odd. But now that they knew that it was CARNAGE, they felt that it was reasonable that it could talk.

Ghastorix was surprised. He asked, "What is it doing here?"

She replied, "It doesn't matter what it is doing here. We must capture it immediately."

The two of them stopped running away and began to help the serpentine world god. The three of them began to work together in earnest to capture the world ender.

Unfortunately, capturing a world ender is easier said than done. CARNAGE is an ocean of energy. Its state of existence is liquid. Without special aspects, capturing it is like grabbing water with their hands.

World gods also have a form that can shift, but it is a solid form, and it is definite. After all, they are order, not chaos. At most, their forms are like wax. It is malleable, but it is still a solid. So they were struggling to capture CARNAGE despite the world ender being essentially harmless to them and them outnumbering it.

They soon realized that they would need special equipment, which they don't have, or a specialized aspect, which they also don't have, for capturing CARNAGE, or they would be wasting their time.

They are not the first sage who had exchanged the research on chaos energy from the Monarch High Heaven. They were strong, but the best they could achieve was to slowly and painfully contain the world ender.

But it was not fast enough. As time was going by, they realized that they wouldn't be able to contain CARNAGE before its mind finished descending to the abyss of corruption below the void universe and completed its evolution into a world ender.

When it does that, it will gain Chaos blood, which will make it very dangerous to them. Unfortunately, they couldn't give up because CARNAGE had already made contact with them.

In their attempt to contain CARNAGE, it had touched them, which meant it had touched their existence. This further meant that a way of existence couldn't be avoided anymore. Actually, they had already been contaminated by the world ender, so a war of existence had begun. The only outcome is death or a draw. They have no problem maintaining a draw right now, but that won't be the case once CARNAGE gains chaos blood. The only way to get out of this problem is to do their best to capture CARNAGE at all costs.

The Serpentine world god said, "This is no time to hold back. Give me all you have so I can build something to contain it."

Ghastoric asked uncertainly, "Are you sure you can do that?"

The Serpentine world god scoffed and said, "If some origin gods can do it, so can I."

The keeper of secrets didn't think Legion's achievement would be easy to replicate with raw power, but she didn't discourage him because his expertise in forging is their best bet. It is probably their only bet, as they have no other option. So they were willing to sacrifice their wealth to build containers right now.

It will be an expensive and risky endeavor, but everything should be fine as long as they are able to subdue CARNAGE. They might even be able to become Usurpers with it. Just the thought of that was enough to overcome any reservations they had about fighting a world ender. At least they had a chance to defeat this world ender. They don't have that chance if they go to fight Monarch High Heaven for the Cosmic Source in his possession. The three of them pooled together their wealth for this endeavor. The keeper of secrets contributed 70% of everything because she was the most wealthy.

Ghastoric could only provide 10% because he was a new world god, while the serpentine world god could only drop 20% because he had been fleeced recently by the first sage. He is only just recovering mentally and financially. But the Serpentine world god would also be contributing his expertise in forging, as he is an excellent forger. His skill in forging is why he was emboldened to bet more with the first sage on who would be the first to finish forging the pillars the realm lord had assigned to them. He was already knee-deep in debt at that point, and the smart decision was to give up. But he jumped at the chance to clear his debt when the opportunity to rely on his expert forging skills came about. He thought he would win the bet for sure. He was wrong. Somehow the first sage beat him in forging. He could only bite the bullet and bet that if they test the pillars in a competition between the vipers and battle sage monkeys, the vipers would win. That was also a no-brainer for him. The Vipers had subjugated every race in his plane, so he thought that the Vipers would win for sure, so he bet more and dug himself deeper into debt. That bet didn't turn out well, mainly because of Soverick Ghastorix. He had to pay through his nose and even give up his slots for God's Domain. He is not sure that being forced to give up his slots for God's Domain was such a bad thing since so many world gods were cheated.

But he is sure that if he manages to capture CARNAGE, he will be able to pay the first sage back for everything that was stolen from him, and he would be able to become an Usurper. So he was very dedicated to his work.
