GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 1989 New Plan.

Chapter 1989  New Plan.

Cosmic energy can only make their Supreme laws grow bigger. But if they can't make full use of their Supreme law when it is small, they surely can't make full use of it when it gets bigger. Without the ability to combine aspects, they can only toil in simulations using different aspects and make adjustments to their plans through it.

Each clone will also take turns using their aspects to help the other clones while making their suggestions as they refine the plan.

This will cover the blind spots that would have existed if they had worked alone and increase the accuracy of their simulation.

They also accessed all their sealed memories for information that might help them increase the accuracy of their simulation.

This did help especially the sealed memories of the serpentine world god's Supreme law. They had comprehended more of it than that of the first sage, so the previous Legion-7 had scrubbed it from their minds to avoid problems.

After doing all of this, all they could do was hope for the best when they finally executed their plan. -----

Ghastorix was pacing about in the dark side of the void universe. He had just received bad news. He wasn't taking it well. But his reaction is the mild one. The serpentine world god was about to explode. The Serpentine world god asked the keeper of secrets, "What do you mean you lost sight of them?"

His voice was loud. It was as loud as his body was large. He was looming above her in anger, but she wasn't afraid.

She replied calmly, "I meant what I said. I lost sight of them. They simply disappeared from my senses."

He said in derision, "You can't be serious. How can you lose sight of an Origin god? How do you even have the gall to say it with a straight face and expect me to believe you?"

He even made sure to point out to her what he thought of her by saying, "You're not the first sage. You're not that cunning."

She was still calm as she replied, "I suspect that they are Supreme Origin gods now."

He shook his head. "It still doesn't make sense. A Supreme Origin god should not be able to hide from you. Not even world gods can hide from you."

It was her turn to get angry. She asked, "What do you think is going on? Do you think I am lying to you? I swear on my supreme law that I am not lying to you."

This actually calmed him down. He indeed thought she was lying about losing sight of Legion so that she would be able to monopolize the cosmic source for herself. After calming down, he became reasonable. He asked, "What exactly happened?"

Ghastorix was also interested in the answer to this question. He stopped pacing about to focus on the conversation. The keeper of secrets explained, "At first, they disappeared for a few years from my sight. Then they returned. When they returned, they were different. They were bigger and more complete. One of their clones was also unconscious."

"I wanted to know what was happening, but I didn't get in touch with them lest we spook the first sage. I watched them silently for a thousand years. I could tell that they were building their Supreme law because their existence was changing right in front of my eyes. But then I lost sight of them all of a sudden."

"Either someone had interfered to block my sight of them, or they had created a Supreme law capable of blocking my sight. Either one is not good."

They were silent as they considered what she had just said. Eventually, the serpentine world gods said, "Even if they created a Supreme law capable of blocking your sight, they can only use one aspect at a time. So they can only use the Supreme law to hide and do nothing else. That means as long as they are hidden, they can't be up to something else."

The Keeper of Secrets asked, "What if it was someone else that blocked my sight?"

He replied, "Then we can only fight."

Ghastorix asked, "What do we do now?"

If they can't see Legion, they won't know when Legion tries to expel the world ender within them. They also won't know when the first sage will arrive and won't be able to interfere to take advantage of the situation. The Serpentine world god snorted and said, "Isn't it obvious? Our alliance is over if we can't sense Legion. The alternative is to get a cosmic source and use it to track the first sage in secret. But if we had a Cosmic source, why would we bother with some cosmic energy and the small fry carrying it around?"

He was ranting when he suddenly began to feel an itch. The itch felt like someone was looking for him. He could also tell the other entity had a Supreme law. He was already angry before this. This became the straw that broke the camel's back.

He roared and said, "Who dares to pick a fight with me now? I will destroy them. I will put them in their place."

He left the other two in search of whoever was trying to access his Supreme law. The Keeper of Secrets and Ghastorix looked at each other. Then they followed the serpentine world god. It was a good thing they followed him because he encountered a world ender soon after and needed their help. But the two of them didn't help this time. They both stepped back in fear.

The world ender raged and roared as it fought with the serpentine world god, "I'll destroy. Then I'll destroy him. And I'll destroy everything else. Nothing will escape from me."

They have never heard a world ender speak coherently like that. World enders are supposed to be mad. This one being smart made the serpentine world god feel fear and that there was something odd going on.
